Tiny kitten wrapped in tape to be used as bait for dogs

This poor kitten was found tied up with duct table and cable ties, and was intended to be used as bait.

Fortunately, the tiny animal was rescued by a passer by who says she is recovering from the shocking incident well.

The cat was found in woodlands between Unstone Green, Chesterfield and the A61 at Sheepsbridge Industrial estate in Derbyshire.

Photos taken after the cable ties had been removed show the kitten’s tiny body squeezed by duct tape.

Derbyshire Police said her feet were bound with ties, and she was intended to be used as bait for the abusers’ dogs and ferrets.

Officers said four or five males, described as wearing tracksuits and in their early 20s or 30s, are responsible for abusing the cat.

One of the suspects is described as having a swallow tattoo on his neck, while the others’ hands were tattooed.

The kitten is now safe and well and is even living with her rescuer.

The new owners are planning to keep her and added she has ‘really come out of her shell’ since the incident.
