Vegan chicken shop Temple of Seitan opens brand new store and café location

Vegan chicken shop Temple of Seitan has quietly opened a brand new café, for all your brunching needs.

Temple Goods will be open at Hackney Downs Studios in east London for at least the summer.

It opened its doors on Monday, selling a range of cakes and pastries, coffee, and a rotating menu of breakfast and lunch dishes.

The launch week menu consists of toasties, smashed avo on toast and a chick’n Caesar salad. Say hello to my belly, food friends.

The café deals in Dark Arts coffee – if you haven’t been to then you haven’t lived – which is great news for caffeine whores.

When you’re done with eating, you can fill your bag with vegan goodies to take home, as the store aims to stock hard-to-find vegan treats.

‘Given the success of Hackney Downs Vegan Market we think this is the perfect location for us to set up shop,’ Temple’s co-founder Bec told .

‘The Hackney Downs Vegan Market was where we experienced some of our first real successes and without the support of Hackney Downs Studios and FGV we certainly wouldn’t be where we are today.

‘We are looking forward to serving up some weekend specials to complement the market!’

In January 2017 they opened , following up with in January 2018.

This one has indoor seating, people. Indoor seating.

The chicken legends then took up residence at Lost Rivers bar in Old Street, serving up…. Yes, you read that right.

Got a feeling they’re heading for world domination. We can feel it in our (vegan) bones.
