Young girl grabbed by unknown man as she walked home, but she escaped, Arlington police say

A young girl broke away from an unknown man who grabbed her Tuesday afternoon as she walked home after school, police said.

The girl a student at RF Patterson Elementary in Kennedale told police she had just been dropped off at a bus stop in the neighborhood and started walking home.

At some point, an unknown man walked up behind her and made some comments to her. He was behind her when he grabbed her, but she managed to break free, police said.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic man, about 30-years-old, about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and weighing about 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing dark clothes.
